“No one deserves to be treated inhumanely," Human Rights Commissioner Leila De Lima stated regarding the 43 health workers who were arrested for suspected links with the communist New People’s Army (NPA) on Feb. 6 in Morong, Rizal. Although all 43 health workers had shown no traces of physical torture based on medical check-ups conducted by the commission’s doctors, they had been subjected to mental torture through continuous blindfolding and repeated interrogations using scare tactics, such as "making them believe that they can be killed or disappear anytime or that something will happen to their families if they don’t cooperate."
The 43 health workers are restrained of their liberty and without a doubt have experienced mental torture after their arrest. Among the arrested health workers detained at Camp Capinpin are two doctors—Alex Montes and Merry Mia Clamor and both of them had injuries around the eyes and on their wrists. It means that, health workers have not just experienced mental torture but some have experienced physical torture as well; dissimilar from the commission’s doctor medical check-ups concluded.
The sufferings of 43 health workers who allegedly suspicious as NPA are too much. Each family of them desires on their freedom, which health workers deserve.

The First Pace of Our AdEPT Class
Yesterday, we started our Advance English Proficiency Training (AdEPT) and ¾ of II-A English were willing to spend time for it. When it comes to grades for this course, it will credit no one. Despite this, I still decided to attend and give my time to this course because I am hoping that I will learn a lot from this.
The knowledge will be shared by Prof. Grama would probably provide solutions to my grammatical lapses, lack of vocabulary, and the other hindrances I experience in using English. I learned from yesterday’s lesson, Prof. Grama is a fluent speaker of English. She should be good because she is professional.
Aside from the benefits from this course, I am still aiming for the certificate to be given after this course because as far as I know, it will help me in landing a job after I graduate and apply in whatever career. It is definitely a plus factor for me.

FACTS about SUBJECTIVITY
The similarities of the three student publications named ‘The Guidon’ of Ateneo, ‘Ang Pamantasan’ of PLM, and ‘The Varsitarian’ of UST is that everything written in the articles are totally SUBJECTIVE. Editors gave their opinions and point of view regarding the issues and topic they write. (e.g. Ampatuan Massacre, politics, and each university’s current controversies.) Perhaps it is really subjective but premise with objective. Everything written such as opinions and perspective of the editors are based on FACTS.
However, their difference is on its SUBJECTIVITY as well. It only differs in the DEPTH of its subjectivity. Some editors or writers of a particular student publication express their point of view with so much brutality. Consider that some oppose their university itself. Like the ‘The Varsitarian’ of UST. Editors describe their university as a religious but not moral. As well as the ‘The Guidon’ of Ateneo, attempts to write an article about ‘Pabaon’ that they call as a lie. On the other hand, the ‘Ang Pamantasan’ of PLM has so many articles complimenting the changes and improvement made by their former University President Adel Tamano. Editors look as if doing their tactics for the promotion of the candidacy for the upcoming 2010 election of the senatorial candidate.

Our AdEPT Class
Yesterday, we started our Advance English Proficiency Training (AdEPT) and three-fourths of II - A BSE English were willing to spend time on it. Yet, the others are still undecided.
When it comes to our grades for this training, it will credit none. Despite of it, I still decided to attend and give my time on that class because I am hoping that I will learn a lot from this. In yesterday's lesson, I learned. And for the succeeding lessons, I think I will be learning as well. Prof. Grama has fluency in speaking the English language. Yes, she should be good because she is OLD and professional already!ü she is no longer a student.ü LOL
Well, 'till here...
I wish good luck to us. We are hoping that we will be able to MASTER the English language because of this training...
Come on... Char!!ü

For the second time, an airline, Cebu Pacific had re-discriminated another mentally challenge person. The Cebu Pacific did not do it only twice but perhaps for so many times. Yet, only two concern mothers of theirs have courage to file case against the said airlines.
Its reputation has totally damaged. However, for some, Cebu Pacific worth it because they even do not know the dissimilarity between a mentally challenge and a mentally ill.
The National Bureau of Investigation should investigate this issue and they should also implement actions against Cebu Pacific.

Issue on the said P459M spent by President Arroyo in Pampanga.
A Nearly half a billion pesos can provide numerous poor Filipino people’s desire to have their own houses, to break away from hunger, and to pay their deferred payments to their creditors. For that so big amount, an elected official will be able to help his/her constituency to fill their needs through implementing various projects.
President Arroyo had been spent P459 million for the construction of roads, drainage canals and municipal buildings for her home district –– Pampanga, JUST 12 months before she runs as its representative. Evidently, based on Akbayan Rep. Risa Hontiveros, the P459 million lavished in Pampanga’s second district was nine times the allocation granted to each of the members of the House for their annual infrastructure projects. It has been formed in our minds that IT SEEMS SHE IS CREATING HER OWN ROAD TO CONGRESS AS WELL AS TO THE PRIME MINISTER POSITION THAT SHE OBVIOUSLY DESIRES.
P459M is truly a big amount.A lot of our wants can be bought to it. If that money is ours, we can buy anything we want, go shopping, have vacation in any place. But if not ours, it is not right to expend it. We have to use that money in a proper way that will help a lot of people. President Arroyo is immoral. Because of that, it is the most compelling reason why she should be disqualified from running as the representative of the said district.
